Dalkey Players are always looking for new members, whether your interest is on the stage or helping out behind it. Beginners will be particularly interested in our in-house Directors Options evenings, which allow budding actors, technicians, writers and directors to create or perform in short pieces in front of supportive audiences. The group also prides itself on its social side; with rehearsals conveniently taking place a stone throw away from Dalkey's many fine hostelries!!

The group meets for two seasons, the autumn season, which takes place from September to December, and the spring season that typically occurs from January to May. Rehearsals take place on Tuesday and Thursday nights, from 7.30 to 10.30.

As well as entering the Irish festival circuits (see our About Dalkey Players section), Dalkey Players produce at least one full three act play per year. These productions usually take place in Dalkey Town Hall, and in recent years the group has also presented a number of highly successful productions in the Pavilion Theatre in Dun Laoghaire. Example include 'Dancing at Lughnasa' and 'Time Was'. A full listing of the group's productions can be found in the previous productions section.

We look forward to seeing you!!!
